**To qualify for this role,**you will need the following
**MUST HAVES**:
- **Be comfortable with all types of carpentry including but not limited to form work, framing and finishing.**:
- **Be a Resident of Canada**:
- **Min. 3 to 4 years experience in construction industry**:
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to **read and interpret drawings, and specifications**:
- Follow site safety regulations and quality standards
- Familiarity with BC Building Code
- Valid Driver’s License and own a reliable vehicle
- Sound judgement with the ability to take direction and work without supervision
- Own steel toed boots/shoes
**NICE TO HAVE**:
- Red Seal Carpentry Certificate is an asset
- Highly motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment and independently without constant supervision
- Local BC experience with home renovations and new build projects
- Your own tools is an asset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Familiar with Procore
- Provide training and guidance to apprentice carpenters as needed
- Position is ideally suited for someone aspiring to be a Site Supervisor / Site Lead or Lead Carpenter role
**PROJECT SITES**
Our job sites are typically across the Lower Mainland (ex: Burnaby, Vancouver, North Vancouver, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Richmond, West Vancouver).
DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
- This is a permanent, full-time position with TQ Construction.
- Your typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
- Reports to Site Supervisor.
