The **Production and Facility Manager** works closely with all departments to achieve the company’s short and long-term strategic and operational goals. The incumbent is responsible for:

- Overall production of company’s products
- Management of Lead Hand(s), Supervisor(s), and all production and facilities staff
- Management of facilities and equipment

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily production schedule, ensuring timelines are set to meet target dates and avoid delays.
- Liaise with Purchasing department to ensure all inventory is available for production needs.
- Establish, direct and maintain production policies and procedures. Establish optimal workflow and SOP’s to continually improve quality and productivity.
- Facilitate and ensure coordination of production, shipping, and receiving to meet target dates.
- Manage all facility-related vendors.
- Manage all production fixed assets, equipment and tools. Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed as scheduled either internally or externally.
- Resolve issues with sales, clients, suppliers, contractors, etc. with professionalism, getting to the root of the problem.
- Manage production budget, comparing the budget to actual variances and gross margin targets. Measure productivity against targets.
- Ensure workers complete the H&S orientation, are made aware of all hazards, and have the proper training prior to working.
- Manage performance and professional development of all employees. Conduct performance and wage reviews annually with production staff.
- Follow proper procedures for progressive discipline.
- Develop competent lead hands and supervisors for shop departments.
- Stay on top of industry trends, research new ideas, equipment, processes that would enhance productivity.
- Train staff in specific job duties; SOP’s; Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.
- Conduct monthly Supervisor inspections by observing specific production areas.
- Conduct monthly health and safety talks with Production staff.
- Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety issues based on recommendations from the JHSC.

**Qualifications**:

- Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a production managerial position, preferably in the sign industry.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Well versed in safety, quality, productivity and inventory.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Proficient with MS Office
