**Who we’re looking for**

Toyota’s Body Production Engineering (BPE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Lead Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead new model Machine Seibi project activities at various Canadian, U.S., and Mexico NAMCs (North America Manufacturing Companies), including preparation of daily team plans / job tracking, provide technician coaching and OJT, lead / foster good communications and problem solving, support kaizens, ensure team safety, and standardized work adherence.

Reporting to the Region 3 Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the BPE department's objective to provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Participate in BPE project planning and project related meetings and/or events representing Machine Seibi
- Create detailed Seibi daily plans, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA (Job Safety Analysis), CMs or remedies to unsafe conditions, audits, etc.), and identify issues and develop appropriate CMs
- Establish and track Machine Seibi project Key Performance Indicators and customer handover criteria status
- Lead effective written and verbal communication with Machine Seibi members, management, and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution
- Promote teamwork, and improve the Machine Seibi group’s skill by coaching, conducting OJT with ‘hands-on’ tasks, and arrange off-job training as needed
- Lead Machine Seibi projects and engage in travel (or dispatch) up to 75% to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan
- Commonly work overtime up to 50%, including weekends and holidays
- This position will be covering Primarily Region 3 (TMMC Cambridge + Woodstock Plants)

**What you bring**
- Technical Degree or diploma or higher education or comparable educator with additional experience is required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- BPE Machine Seibi experience within Toyota
- Supporting BPE projects in a leadership role
- Proficient with Body related PLCs and software (Toyopuc, PCwin, PCwin Safe, HMIs, Screenwork, etc.)
- Proficient with Kawasaki, Nachi, and Yaskawa robots and other Body related equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Power-Point, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to travel up to 75% at times (including international travel)
- Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations.
- 1+ years of Toyota PE Seibi experience.
- 3+ years of Automotive Manufacturing experience.
