**Summer Student - Purchasing**

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for weekly verification of inventory status against sales orders.
- Responsible for the daily update of quarantined material status in the inventory file.
- Maintain up-to-date receiving documentation including coordination with finance.
- Support procurement and purchasing of raw materials and packaging items during buyer's vacations.
- Prepare purchasing plans for commercial products based on forecasts.
- Update inventory system (MRP).
- Maintain frequent communication with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule.
- Organize the receipt of goods with our customs broker.
- This position will be entirely based at our Ville St-Laurent site.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Bilingual (English/French) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or cosmetics industry - an asset
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Excellent work organization
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
- Strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Drive a forklift - an asset
