**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:
- Assisting in running, analysing, calibrating, and modifying hydraulic wastewater and hydraulic water distribution system models.
- Collaborating with senior team members to develop innovative solutions that meet design criteria.
- Assisting in the preparation of modelling documentation, technical memoranda, and design reports.
- Supporting Infrastructure Planning Studies, such as Master Plans, Basement Flooding, and Inflow and Infiltration Studies.
- Receiving training and mentorship from experienced professionals in water/wastewater modelling and methods.
- Assisting senior staff in maintaining client relationships
- Supporting the preparation of proposals, report writing, cost estimation, and drawing preparation.
- Collaborating with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers both within and outside the region to contribute to work sharing and business development efforts.
**What you will bring to the team**:
- A degree in Civil/Water Resource Engineering.
- A strong foundation in hydraulic/hydrologic principles and tools.
- Good information retrieval and information summary skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player, cooperate with other staff.
- Familiarity with industry-standard hydraulic/hydrologic software, such as WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks WSPRO / ICM (1D and 2D), InfoSWMM, InfoWater, and WaterGems.
- Knowledge of data analytical techniques, machine learning tools and dashboarding is desirable.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Smart Water Network Design
- A valid driver's license in Ontario and willingness to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.
