**Experienced Cook for Food Truck Operations**
**Location**: Taylight Brewing - Port Coquitlam (Food truck is stationed onsite)
**Wage**: $17.85-$30/hr (depending on experience) this includes tips
**Schedule**: Wednesday to Sunday, with shifts ranging from 10:30am-10:30pm

**Join Our Food Truck Team**

Taylight Brewing is looking for a skilled and dependable cook to take the lead in our on-site food truck. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident running a small kitchen, can stay organized during busy service, and is excited to be part of a supportive, community-focused brewery environment.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Cook and prep food in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Operate the food truck independently or with mínimal support
- Handle order tickets efficiently
- Pass food to customers with a friendly, professional vibe
- Open and close the truck (including basic daily cleaning and maintenance)
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards at all times

**What You Bring to the Table**:

- 1-2+ years of kitchen or food truck experience

**OR** currently enrolled in culinary school or training and eager to gain hands-on experience
- Food Safe Level 1 certification
- Confidence working independently—especially during peak hours
- Good time management, hustle, and a can-do attitude
- Willingness to be part of a small team where everyone steps up

**Who You’ll Report To**:
You’ll report directly to Kiana (Front of House Manager & Operations Coordinator) and may occasionally check in with her supervisor for updates or reviews.

**Heads up**

We’re located in an industrial part of Port Coquitlam, and **public transit in the area** is limited. If you don’t drive, please note that the closest bus stops are about a 20-30 minute walk from the brewery. Make sure you can reliably get to and from shifts—especially during late-night closings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
