**About the Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Journeyperson Cook. As a Journeyperson Cook with Nutrition and Food Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our healthcare facilities and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Journeyperson Cook prepares standardized recipes for patients and long-term care residents. The Journeyperson Cook, on occasion may produce made to order options for veterans. The Journeyperson Cook is responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.

This position will be based out of Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building main kitchen, cooking food for Dartmouth General Hospital, and will eventually move over to Dartmouth General Hospital once infrastructure is ready.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certified Journeyman Cook
- 1 year experience preferred
- Baking skills are an asset
- Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset

PLEASE NOTE: Frequent physical demands include extensive standing, repetitive motion, awkward positions and lifting.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
- Hourly wages starting at $23.45 - $26.21 Hourly- 11% in lieu of benefits and vacation- Casual Relief 3%- Shifts can include day, evening, night, weekends, and holidays
