**Who we are looking for**:
We are looking for an experienced **Service Writer** to join and our growing team. You will play a crucial role in directing the team of mechanics who facilitate the completion of work required to service our company vehicles. Leveraging your extensive leadership skills, knowledge of vehicle servicing standards, and excellence in customer care. You will be accountable for the service departments and financial performance by meeting the goals for the repair facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Source material from suppliers, issue purchase order, and track in computer system.
- Follow up with suppliers for overdue material, update ETA in tracking system, and notify dispatch of any delays.
- Follow up with suppliers when material is due, and arrange pickup by Company drivers, couriers, or other means as required.
- Receive material at the shop, update tracking in computer system, and provide daily list of jobs to dispatch where all material available and work is ready to be scheduled.
- Organize the daily activities of Company drivers, based upon requirements for dispatch and field staff, and continuously re-evaluate and update as circumstances change.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time for mechanical equipment and tools.
- Follow up on warranty and truck/trailer servicing
- Coordinating MVI/CVI for company assets

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in service industry preferred but not required
- At least 2 years working in a similar environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Effective problem-solving skills and strong logic
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and equipment components and parts
- Mechanical Knowledge relative to Semi tractor/trailers

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- service advisor: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (preferred)
