We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player to join our **Abbotsford, BC Dealership - Travelhome RV** as a Warranty Writer. **This is a Full Time, Regular** **position.
The primary focus of the Warranty Writer is to deal with all aspects of warranty administration effectively and efficiently from initiating a warranty claim, to submitting for final payment.
A Warranty Writer reviews all warranty claims and submits to manufactures for warranty claims. Warranty administrators may call customers to obtain additional information on warranty requests. Other key responsibilities include coordinating the ordering and shipping of all parts, collecting payments for partial warranties and training employees in the warranty department.

**JOB DUTIES**
- Adhere to the company Mission, Vision, and Values
- Discussing serious warranty concerns with a Service Technician, Service Advisor or Service Manager
- Making initial contact with the manufacturer to describe warranty concerns
- Working with manufacturer in identifying reoccurring problems directly related to their product
- Preparing all required documentation for manufacturer on warranty claims (i.e., estimate repair hours needed for repair)
- Providing the manufacturer with digital pictures of defect (Service Technicians should take photos)
- Making proper documentation under the appropriate job on the work order, once preauthorization has been obtained
- Authorizing all warranty part orders. Orders must be approved by the manufacturer, and once approval has been obtained, turn slip into the parts department for order
- Assist Service Advisors with customer warranty inquiries
- Work closely with Service Advisors with customer warranty approvals for rebooking into the shop
- Work closely with technicians to ensure all information is obtained for a warranty claim
- Ensure accurate billing to all manufacturers
- Collect payment for warranty services completed in a timely manner
- Ensuring accurate billing to the manufacturers
- Review Aged Unclaimed Warranty Report weekly to maintain KPIs set for dealership and for personal performance
- Review Aged Warranty Receivables Report weekly to maintain KPIs set for dealership and for personal performance
- Other duties as directed by the Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Service writer training and/or certificates
- CSR training and/or certificates
- 1 years working experience in a customer service or sales position.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Proven data entry, data editing and typing skills.
- Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Previous industry knowledge.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

**WORK CONDITIONS**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Lifting or moving up to 30lbs may be required.
