Weidner Apartment Homes is currently searching for a Security Guard to work at our Prince Albert apartment communities. For this position, the Security Guard will be working directly with the Community Director to verify the safety and security of the community. We are looking for someone who is energetic, physically strong and fit and has strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

- Patrolling common areas and exterior of the property.
- Removing of unauthorized individuals from the property.
- Liaison with local police when needed.
- Responding to after-hour calls, including disturbances in a timely manner: initiate action to calm any disorderly conduct.
- Submit daily activity reports to the office.
- Check interior & exterior lighting weekly; report broken windows or lights to Community Director.
- Secure any unlocked apartments or entrance doors. Report malfunctioning doors/lock to the Community Director.
- Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service.
- Always courteous and helpful to residents, prospective residents, vendors and associates.
- Other duties assigned by your community director which may include but not limited to: garbage pick-up, minor painting or cleaning.

Qualifications:

- Must be available to be contacted at home and to respond in cases of emergency.
- Must excellent written and verbal skills
- Valid and current driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Must agree to a criminal background check
- Previous security experience or security training is preferred.

**Salary**: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
