**The opportunity**

Are you passionate about debunking myths, unravelling conspiracies, and educating the public about the harmful and ever-changing landscape of misinformation and disinformation? Join our team as the host of an exciting new studio-based television show As the face of the program, you’ll lead engaging discussions, interview experts and report on the world of misinformation and disinformation and its impact on society. We are seeking a charismatic, knowledgeable, and curious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to promoting truth and critical thinking.

**How you will make an impact**
- Collaborate with the lead producer, executive producer and, other team members to identify compelling story segments.
- Diligently research topics and fact check all content to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Write scripts that effectively communicate complex topics in an engaging and accessible manner.
- Work closely with producers, and editors to develop innovative and highly visual ways to present accurate reports.
- Record weekly segments that are instructive, entertaining, and engaging.
- Conduct interviews with experts, panelists, and individuals impacted by misinformation, disinformation and conspiracies.
- Stay up to date on the latest misinformation and disinformation stories, trends, and developments.
- Develop strategies to promote media literacy and critical thinking among viewers.
- Contribute to the planning, design, and organization of the program.
- Curate and write content to maximize traffic on social media.
- Foster a strong connection with our audience through social media engagement, and other platforms to foster discussion and feedback.
- Participate in public and/or community relation activities to promote the program.

**What you will bring to TVO**
- Previous experience as TV host, presenter, or similar role.
- A natural charisma and on-camera presence that captivates audiences and instills trust and credibility.
- Exceptional writing, interviewing, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in fact-checking and verifying sources.
- Media literacy expertise and a deep understanding of misinformation and disinformation tactics.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative storytelling.
- A deep-seated commitment to uncovering truth and exposing deception, coupled with a deep sense of journalistic integrity.
