**Position Overview**:
Under general direction and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the ASSISTANT, GIFT SHOP is responsible for providing administrative support to the Coordinator, Gift Shop.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail environment;
- Knowledge of Business principles; administrative & clerical procedures, accounts receivable and payable
- Proven experience of producing correspondence & documents
- Proficiency in use of social media

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- High School graduate with some applicable post-secondary education such as Community College.

**_Note:_**_ An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed recognized by the Hospital, may be considered in lieu of the above._

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:
**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Strong and effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical work such as lifting and carrying boxes of merchandise.
- Ability to communicate in English and French is an asset.
