Dining Room Assistant Manager

Starting wage is $17.20 an hour and will be re evaluated after training to a solid salary if all requirements are met. This position is taking over for a maternity leave with the potential to become a permanent part of our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the dining room in a hotel setting
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Train and supervise dining room staff, including servers and bussers
- Create and maintain a positive and professional work environment for all staff, create schedules, makes changes or fill in as needed
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the dining room
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of dining room supplies along with alcohol (Liquor, Wine, Beer)
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during regular services and other functions such as weddings, work conferences, anniversary parties, etc.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room area
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including bar tending skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
