**Shop Foreman Job Description**:
We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Welding Shop Foreman who can work well in a team, to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company. In this role, you will work along side and supervise all personnel, oversee the management and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations. You will also be required to manage inventory and enforce safety regulations.

To ensure success as a Welding shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills and address hindrances to operational efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervising and training staff.
- Creating and managing the maintenance schedules.
- Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.
- Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
- Conducting performance reviews with staff.
- Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
- Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.
- Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Performing administrative tasks such as updating and filing equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedules.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- At least five year's experience as a shop foreman or similar.
- **A keen understanding of Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metal work**:

- **The ability to interpret Welding Shop Drawings**:

- **Welding Knowledge and experience required**:

- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- A great understanding of Work optimization techniques.
- Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills.

Pay will be based on experience and is negotiable (average of $38 to $42/hr)

Benefits: after 3 months’ probation

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm

Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (44hrs/wk.)

Location: Brampton, ON

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
