Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring that all materials are accurately accounted for and handled efficiently. The Shipper/Receiver has a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. The Shipper/Receiver plays a crucial role in supporting our operations and production teams by managing inventory, preparing shipments, and receiving goods, thereby contributing to our overall success. Pay will be dependant on experience and capabilities.

**Responsibilities**:
Receiving Goods:

- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
- Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate areas.
- Maintain accurate records of received goods according to the written procedures.
- Report any discrepancies to the appropriate department.

Shipping:

- Prepare outgoing goods for shipment by selecting the appropriate shipping methods based on delivery requirements and cost.
- Pack goods to ensure safe delivery, including labeling and marking containers with identifying information.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with transportation carriers.

Inventory Management:

- Maintain up-to-date inventory records in the company’s inventory management system.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and participate in year-end inventory counts.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for easy access and safe handling of materials.

Documentation and Compliance:

- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and other necessary documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to shipping and receiving.

General Duties:

- Pick up and deliveries within Lethbridge as needed using a company-provided vehicle.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to streamline the flow of goods and supplies.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the company.

Safety
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices of the Iron Core Health and Safety Management System.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report unsafe work conditions to shop manager.
- Take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of yourself and any other workers.

**PREFERRED/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must possess at least a Class 5 with a clean abstract.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.

Pay: $15.48-$22.52 per hour
