St Albert, Canada JP Property Maintenace Full time

We are looking for someone to work snow removal independently when there are snowfalls for ~$100 per house each month, with some being worth more and very few being worth less. This will be paid no matter what, even if it does not snow at all. We will pay out on the 20th of the month. We can offer 5-20 homes per shoveler.

We are also looking for a couple of people to be part-time hourly help, but this will be very casual. Perhaps only 10-20 hours/month. $16.00/hour. Must be available with 48 hours notice.

We offer premium snow removal services to residents and business in St. Albert and Edmonton. We complete our snow service within 24 hours of completed snowfalls, and you will always be expected to be ready to go when the weather strikes. For the most part you have the freedom to complete your homes in the time frame allowed. The earlier the better both for yourself and the client. We will always suggest when you should go, but will leave it up to you as long as you are completing on time. Our snow service includes the city sidewalks, corner lots included, the entire driveway and front walkway and steps, additional areas such as decks/patios will provide higher compensation to you. Snow service is expected to be edge to edge and down to the pavement of all areas if the Customer is signed on for Ice-melt Service. If the customer has not indicated for ice-melt service then you must clear down to the ice layer. Gravel is included on all city sidewalks only in icy conditions so that everyone has traction and remains safe (spikes are a requirement for snow shovelers - can be provided for a cost).

On super heavy snowfalls, we can perform a priority clear and clear only partial areas, and return the following day to complete the service. This may only be done when directed or special permission granted.

Training and advice will be provided so that even during heavy winters, your expected income is about $20/hour. The lighter the winter the more this increases, as well as the faster you can be while maintaining edge to edge and bare pavement service.

Some weeks are heavier & busier than others but the average remains fairly stable. Working a second casual job is typically very manageable with this work.

Your own transportation is a must, the larger your vehicle, the more equipment we can offer to make it easier for you, but a car that can fit a shovel and a few buckets for ice-melt and sand is enough. We do have backpack blowers, and snow throwers and blowers for you to use if you have the room. Must have a valid Drivers License and insurance.

You will be expected to pay for you own gas used in equipment as the service can be completed with a shovel.

Compensation for vehicle gas will be based on your route and provided on top of the salary for each time you do go out.

We would require that you wear the proper clothing for the weather, dress in layers. High visibility clothing is definitely recommended. Steel/composite toe-boots with non slip rubber is also recommended. Snow pants and Snow jacket, multiple pairs of gloves and a toque/hat are required.
