**POSITION: Kitting and QC Specialist**

The Kitting & QC Specialist will be responsible for performing routine quality assessments on incoming material, product lots, and/or work in progress based on provided criteria. They will assist the Kitting Line Leads in overseeing the day-to-day operations of kitting lines. They are accountable for ensuring acceptable quality levels, and assist in the monitoring, organizing, executing, and preparing all kits for shipment. The core purpose of the kitting team is to _reduce picking time, improve inventory organization, and ensure both the quality and accuracy of the required products._

**SHIFT: Day Shift - Monday to Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.**

**LOCATION: Paris, Ontario**

**REPORTS TO: Kitting & Quality Assurance Supervisor**

**What YOU will be doing**:
® **Using a provided sampling plan, perform routine quality assessments on incoming material, product lots, and/or work in progress based on the following criteria**:

- Finish appearance is acceptable - color, paint coverage, scratches, etc.
- General appearance is acceptable - damage, sharp edges, clean welds, etc.
- Parts are functioning as intended - fit together properly.
- Critical dimensions compared to CAD are within tolerance.

® **Work effectively with team to ensure and maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity throughout the production shift**:

- Receive and validate counts for kitting.
- Ensure packing slips / checklists are followed for each location’s kit.
- Ensure product quality and packaging is appropriate and completed in a timely manner.

® **Support with inventory replenishment and cycle counting**:

- Replenish stock and order necessary boxes, tapes, labels, etc.
- Validate and pull all materials listed on the job order.
- Verify inventory counts of finished goods and work in progress jobs

® **Lead and coach team members in continuous improvement initiatives**:

- Assist and offer ideas that will help the kitting team improve their overall performance.
- Monitor the performance of employees and provide feedback for the review process.
- Identify and make recommendations regarding skills requirements.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations policies, and initiatives, including all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

**What we are looking for in YOU**:

- Kitting experience is preferred;
- Lift truck experience is preferred;
- Ability to handle competing deadlines, high-stress situations and work in a very fast-paced environment;
- Quality control experience;
- Solid problem solving and troubleshooting abilities;
- Proven leadership abilities;
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
