**Job Summary**
As an HR Generalist Summer Student, you will support the Human Resources Specialist with various administrative and operational tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in recruitment, employee engagement, payroll administration, policy compliance, and HRIS management.

**Eligibility**

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program.

Applicants must be:

- Between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment.
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

**Duties**
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing new hire documents.
- Support HR administration, such as maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, and filing documents.
- Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives (e.g., team events, trainings, surveys, recognition programs).
- Assist with payroll processing (ADP & Ceridian) and producing related reports as required.
- Assist with policy research and compliance (e.g., employment standards, health & safety).
- Participate in HR projects (e.g., process improvements, safety initiatives).
- Provide general administrative support to MAC team, as required.

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws is an asset.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
