- **Position summary**:_
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Prospects and closes new business with existing underdeveloped accounts and new construction projects to generate increased revenue over the phone
- Develops and implements selling strategies to grow territory
- Develops and maintains customer relationships with key decision makers
- Educates customers about MSC’s products and services and consistently emphasizes our value proposition
- Researches the competition and markets of MSC and our customers to stay abreast of competitors, developments in competitive products, and changes in the market.
- Proactively communicates with the customer to ensure all commitments and obligations for the customer are met and/or are exceeded throughout the project/order and provides ongoing support to ensure that needs are met
- Works closely with Industrial Sales Coordinator to provide quotes, order confirmations, and follow through on potential opportunities in a timely manner
- Maintains a positive buying experience for the customer during each transaction
- Other duties as assigned to support the growth of MSC.
- **Minimum Requirements**_
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing or related field (significant relevant sales experience will otherwise be considered).
- Minimum 2 years’ sales related experience.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Above average proficiency in MS Office Products, moderate skill level in Excel desired.
- Bilingual in French is not necessary but would be an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and able to independently manage time and projects; results driven.
- Effective presentation skills, negotiation skills and ability to influence customer’s decisions.
- Ability to gather, analyze and accurately interpret detailed information.
- Demonstrated above average organizational skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales in new territories
- Ability to travel as required
