North Star Windows is seeking a highly motivated Operations Specialist to join our Manufacturing Team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your manager.
- Prepare orders for the shop floor by batching orders and ensuring all labels are ready for production.
- Coordinate and communicate orders between the warehouse floor and the office as required.
- Review work orders (production, paint and/or service), including special instructions
- Contribute to the reduction / minimization of downtime (i.e. improved door assembly times).
- Contribute to the reduction / minimization of scrap and/or rework.
- Help and Monitor employees training and are aware of customer and company expectations.
- Co-ordinates with management the production plan ensuring scheduling and assigning personnel.
- Work with Buyer to ensure accurate Inventory counts and component availability
- Monitor and report on quality of the product produced meets customer and company specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean department/work area.
- Enforce and ensure Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and production related policies and procedures
- **Scheduling**
- Monitor appropriate lead time for order completion
- Monitor and report on production / paint schedule
- Review and release work orders to production and/or paint
- Follow up on status of customer orders
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager

**Critical Skills**
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and determine when guidance is necessary from Senior Management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and initiate cost effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization i.e. employees, Department Managers/Supervisors, Senior Management and Human Resources.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
- Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of High School and/or College Diploma
- Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office)
- Three (3) to five (5) years experience in manufacturing/customer service
- Warehouse organization experience
