Electrical Commissioning Lead

In addition, March and its employees have developed specialized expertise in feasibility studies and asset integrity in the heavy industrial sector. **Position Overview** **Primary Responsibilities** - Preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures - Preparation of the project commissioning and start-up plan, including detailed electrical activities and start-up logic - Support designers, engineers, and the construction team for handover/transitioning from the engineering and construction phases of the project to the commissioning phase - Lead workshops to support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities - Work closely with the project planners and schedulers - Lead the development and management of commissioning and start-up schedules and budgets - Ensure that commissioning activities are executed according to commissioning plans, schedules, budgets - Assist with determining commissioning staffing requirements - Responsible for managing site materials and logistics - Coordinate and manage contractor and subcontractor activities associated with pre-commissioning and commissioning - Interface with the operations team in commissioning, start-up, and final turnover of the facility - Assist in developing operational readiness plans and maintenance plans - Provide leadership in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) issues on site and maintain overall responsibility for ensuring that the team complies with the HSE plan - Ensure hazard/risk analysis is performed before the start of activities - Prepare progress reports for commissioning and start-up activities - Ensure the commissioning plan is in compliance with the appropriate codes, standards, and regulatory body requirements - Obtain and organize permits, equipment, and tools required for the commissioning teams to execute work - Verify completion and accuracy of tasks performed by the commissioning team - Ensure work is completed in accordance with project documents (i.e., drawings, specifications, standards, etc.) - Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** - Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Red Seal Journeyman with a focus on Electrical - Minimum of 5 years related supervisory experience; - Minimum of 5 years in a lead commissioning role; - Experience in Mining & Minerals or other Heavy Industrial settings is preferred - Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment - Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Ability to maintain a consistently professional manner and positive attitude - Possess knowledge of file and document management systems - Ability to work on tight deadlines We look forward to receiving your cover letter and resume.
