**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
- Operate polishing tools and processes; able to effectively polish, buff, and grind material imperfections utilizing a buffing jack and small hand tools.
- Utilize the bending and cutting machines when required; able to set up and operate machine to bend metal structural shapes to angle or contour specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout.
- Assist welders, benders, polishers, and buffers as required.
- Handle power tools (such as saws and drills) and machinery (forklifts) when required.
- Transport materials and equipment through the facility
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks.
- Maintain workshop in a clean and orderly manner.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and schedules.
- Communicate material requirements and report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned by direct manager.

All the above duties and responsibilities require the ability to be mobile in an industrial environment, to communicate effectively, organize effectively, with varying degrees of independence, judgment, and discretion.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a general worker, or equivalent.

**Knowledge & Qualifications**
- Knowledge of bending equipment and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed.
- General knowledge of buffing, grinding, welding, polishing painting, sanding, brushing, etc.
- Ability to operate and/or read a tape measure, calipers, protractors blueprints and process sheets.
- Forklift/Overhead Crane operational experience
- Professional time management and communication skills
- Ability to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery
