MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Schedule and facilitate outdoor, indoor, window, virtual & telephone visits with residents and friends/family.
- Transport residents to onsite programming, dining room and internal appointments
- Perform tasks such as: answering phones, calling out shifts through web based call out program.
- Assist residents with hand washing before and after meals.
- Spend time with residents engaging in outdoor walks and activities such as reading, card games and puzzles.
- Provides 1:1 resident support.
- Answer call bells and communicate residents’ concerns to staff.
- Collaborates with residents, families and team members to maintain a positive, supportive and safe environment for all.
- Be mentally and physically able to perform duties as assigned.
- Communicate positively with other staff, residents and families.
- Demonstrate empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service to residents
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion and work safely at all times.
- Follow all workplace policies and procedures.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.98 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wallaceburg, ON N8A 4M2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
