The Sales Manager has a responsibility to develop new business relationships as well as build on existing relationships in order to achieve continued sales growth and exceed sales targets for the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites London along with its banquet and conference facilities.

**Sales Responsibilities**:

- Required to maintain a strong knowledge of local market conditions and all segments.
- Proactively acquire new business and manage existing accounts through targeted prospecting, strategic sales calls, and ongoing client engagement to promote long term loyalty and repeat business.
- Negotiate, prepare and present sales proposals & contracts to successfully close business deals with new and existing clients.
- Conduct tours and site inspections for new and existing clients.
- Conduct timely post-group follow-up to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Attend events, trade shows and sales blitzes and professionally represent the hotel to develop leads and build client base.
- Participate in local London Chamber of Commerce events and be actively involved with local committees of your choosing.
- Meets and/or exceeds weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
- Ensure updates are recorded accurately in CI/TY
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by management within the scope of the position.

**Operational Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a general understanding of all hotel department daily processes and needs to establish internal working relationships and ensure open communication for the successful execution of events and groups.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reporting of group bookings, sales activities and next steps to Director of Sales.
- Establishes internal working relationships with all departments to ensure open communication for the successful execution of events.
- Attends regular meetings with Director of Sales and Marketing and team.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Provides both scheduled and unscheduled site tours of the hotel and conference centre to potential and existing clients.
- Review of daily revenues, night manager report, etc.
- Respond to all client inquiries in a timely manner and provide problem resolution as needed
- Assists with local community promotions and hotel client events as required.
- Attains competitor information when requested.
- Works cooperatively and in alignment with all other team members to help achieve property goals.

**Skills & Knowledge Required**:

- Hotel sales experience required.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office, CI/TY and Lightspeed.
- Excellent professional and courteous communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Ability to travel regionally.

**Other Conditions**:

- Regular schedule to be Monday - Friday, flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Understands the Marriott & Four Points Service Culture and demonstrates that understanding through the effective interactions and communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains compliance with and supports all hotel policies and procedures.
