**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The receiving team member plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the receiving department. This position involves a variety of tasks, including the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials both indoors and outdoors, unloading trucks and receiving inventory, working at heights, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders or packing slips, sorting parts and delivering them to designated storage areas, clear and respectful communication on the radio, data entry, labeling parts, and maintaining accurate counts on items.

Skills required to perform successfully within this team include obtaining a forklift operator’s license through in-house training and demonstrated ability to operate a forklift, fundamental mathematical skills for counting and verifying inventory, physical stamina to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, effective communication and teamwork abilities, as well as knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them.
