Hache Construction is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Supervisor with a strong background in carpentry, particularly in finish carpentry, and a solid understanding of various building tasks. As a Project Supervisor and Carpenter, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring the successful execution of tasks, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of craftsmen to achieve project milestones.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Project Leadership**: Take charge of assigned construction projects, supervising and coordinating the activities of the construction team, including carpenters and other trades.
- **Carpentry Expertise**: Showcase your mastery in finish carpentry by personally executing intricate woodworking tasks, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetic appeal of the project.
- **Task Management**: Plan, prioritize, and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to project timelines.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship by inspecting work at various stages, identifying and addressing any issues, and ensuring that all carpentry tasks align with project specifications.
- **Problem Solving**: Proactively identify challenges and obstacles, offering creative solutions to keep projects on track and maintaining a seamless workflow.
- **Materials and Resources**: Manage the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for carpentry and other construction tasks, ensuring availability and efficiency.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure work environment for all team members.
- **Team Development**: Provide mentorship and training to carpentry team members, fostering skill enhancement and professional growth.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear and open lines of communication with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders, providing progress updates, addressing concerns, and facilitating a collaborative atmosphere.
- **Documentation**: Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any changes made during the construction process.
- **Budget Awareness**: Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring resource usage, optimizing material costs, and identifying potential areas for cost savings.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with a focus on finish carpentry and a strong foundation in various building tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic construction environments.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and project managers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools associated with carpentry and construction work.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
