**Casual Residential Support Worker**

The Residential Support Worker will provide support to men transitioning from correctional institutions to the community.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Carry out rounds and bed checks at irregular intervals
- Answer phones, greet the public and visitors with discretion
- Access and maintain documentation
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Record pertinent resident information on the Case Administration Management System
- Undertake special assignments as required by the House Manager
- Follow working alone procedures for check-ins
- Establish positive communication with and endeavor to maintain rapport with each resident
- Exchange information related to resident concerns and direct the resident to appropriate resources
- Allow resident’s access to prescribed medication

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health, addictions, and developmental disabilities
- The skills to understand the use of authority in supervision and to intervene effectively in crises

**Job Requirements**
- Criminal Record Check
- Ability to pass a Correctional Services of Canada Enhanced Security Check
- Emergency First Aid

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $21.01-$23.64 per hour
