Job description
Hours:
8 am to 11 am.
Casual hours as needed.
I’m a **woman** living with Muscular Dystrophy looking for a PCA to help me live independently. I live in a house with my husband and our pets. I have excellent relationships with my current staff and am looking for someone who’s energetic and has a good sense of humour.
Tasks include:
Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
Using a ceiling track lift for transfers
Cooking
Cleaning
Some pet care
**Qualifications**
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
- Class 5 Driver’s License is desired but not necessary
- You must be able provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination OR agree to be vaccinated after you receive an employment offer.
- Ability to take direction well and work quickly
- You must be strong and flexible enough to assist with adjusting me in my wheelchair, in bed and using a lift.
- Can work unsupervised in some situations.
- You must have strong verbal communication skills.
- You must be comfortable assisting with all types of personal care.
- You must have basic cooking skills.
- You must be comfortable with pet care, including litter box changes, small animal cleanup and dog pad changes
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
