Job Description - Indigenous Participation Plan Coordinator

We are currently seeking an Indigenous Participation Plan Coordinator to join our team in either our Toronto or our Ottawa office. At Mansteel Rebar Ltd., we are acutely aware of the significant contribution Indigenous workers have made to the construction Industry.

This position will assist in managing this effort as their primary function.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Coordinating the implementation of the IPP for several projects
- Monitoring and monthly Reporting of different IPPs
- Collection and proper organization of invoices from Indigenous Businesses (for reporting and billing purposes)
- Coordinate between Mansteel Rebar and Indigenous Businesses, Indigenous Associations / Councils
- Gathering of hours worked by indigenous ironworkers, shop workers, and office staff on projects with IPPs
- Communication with Clients’ IPP representative / coordinator
- Act as a Coordinator between Contractor, Rebar installers, other Detailers and Shop production Coordinators
- Ensure all efforts are taken to satisfy customer needs at all levels
- Approach and resolve construction conflicts and disputes within a timely manner
- Support with data collection and reporting

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education (Architectural Technology, Civil Technology or related discipline would be preferred)
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Experience in Community Engagement, Administration or Project Coordination is an asset but not required
- Given the nature of the role, Indigenous applicants are encouraged to apply
