**What you will be doing**:
- Ensuring the timely and accurate setup of banquet spaces according to the client’s specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and audiovisual equipment. Coordinate the breakdown and cleanup after the event.
- Act as the point of contact for clients and event organizer, ensuring all their needs are met during the event. Resolve any issues or last-minute changes quickly and effectively.
- Ensure that banquet rooms are properly maintained, clean, and set to the highest standards before, during and after events
- Ability to oversee multiple events in a single day, ensuring that each one runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Flexibility in adapting to last-minute changes or special requests from clients, ensuring their needs are met without impacting overall service.
- Supervise and inspire a team dedicated to delivering premium events, with support from a cross-departmental collaboration.
- Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure food service meets quality standards.
- Collaborates with multiple departments (e.g., marketing, tech support, guest services) to ensure that all event components align with client expectations.
**The person we are looking for has**:
- 2-3 years experience leading a team in a hospitality environment
- Diploma or certificate in Hotel/Restaurant Management or the equivalent an asset
- Experience working with and understanding Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) is considered asset
- Experience working in a luxury environment is considered an asset
- Ability to demonstrate extreme organization in a fast-paced environment while acting as a team player
- Strong leadership skills
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- The ability to go above and beyond to exceed guests’ expectations
- Someone with exceptional communication skills
- Comfortable briefing with event service staff prior to each function
