**Position**:

- **Head Maintenance Worker**

A memorable experience is the essence of being a member of the Toronto Athletic Club. As the Head Maintenance Worker, you will be reporting to the Property Manager and responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure the club’s facility quality standards are achieved and maintained.

**Head Maintenance Worker Main Duties**
- Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist with major repairs of all club equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Service the club’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; complete maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Cleaning and maintaining pool filters, pumps, and other pool equipment.
- Ensure safe and hygienic upkeep of the pool, observing safe working practices in relation to the use/storage of chemicals as required by company policy and health & safety regulations.
- Assist in checking electrical and mechanical systems such as air conditioning controls, steam generators and lighting systems, make minor repairs and/or replacements like replacing the light bulbs, changing filters and belts, fixing doors and patching dry walls.
- Clean and tidy the floors and the glass facades of the Squash courts as required by club policy, restocking shelves with clean towels.
- Clean the floors, washroom and wall tiles.
- Refill the dispensers and ensure vanity amenities are fully stocked.
- Dispose of garbage in accordance with property policy.
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate purchase needs to Property Manager.
- Wipe clean mirror, shelves, counters, picture frames and furniture
- Clean A/C and exhaust vents as needed.
- Various other tasks and duties as assigned by management
- Liaise closely with the property manager regarding completion of work.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years related experience, with a proven track record in maintenance roles.
- Pool operating certification is highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills, including presenting insight and actionable recommendations concisely and confidently.
- Strong organizational and follow-up.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to communicate well with members, guests and co-workers.
- Willingness to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties.
- Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and routinely lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Ability to receive instructions and communicate progress of work.

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time
- Pay: $21.00 per hour

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
