Rehabilitation Assistant

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist therapists in implementing rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor resident progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functional.
- Help residents with exercises, mobility training, and daily living activities as directed by therapists.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and progress notes.
- Educate residents and their families about rehabilitation processes and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards within the facility.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and understand treatment plans.
- Experience in long term care settings, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse resident needs.
- Knowledge of LTC rehabilitation practices is preferred, with a focus on engaging younger patients effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients, families, and team members.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, fostering a supportive atmosphere for recovery. This role is essential for enhancing the quality of rehabilitation services provided to patients, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about healthcare and patient support.

Pay: $18.59-$23.04 per hour
