**Position Description**:
Our Brooks Office has an opportunity for a 24/7 Support Home Provider in the Brooks area. The role of a Support Home Provider is to offer 24/7 Living arrangements **(in your residence)** for an adult Individual with developmental disabilities as well as community access and inclusion. This individual requires prompting to complete chores and take medications. Assistance with laundry, cooking and sometimes other daily activities of living.

**Requirements**:

- Experience supporting people with disabilities;
- Knowledge of mental wellness practices and the processes and procedures involved in providing effective home care.
- Proficiency in the English language, with the ability to comprehend instructions and communicate in a clear and logical manner.
- Ability to actively listen, identify needs, and provide solutions to the individual.
- Recognize and understand emotions and handle situations with empathy.
- Build and maintain cooperative and constructive relationships.
- Bedroom for an Individuals living
- Clear criminal vulnerable sector check (VSC) for applicant and for everyone over the age of 18 living in the home
- You are certified in First Aid and certified as a CPR Level C.
- Own vehicle
- You have a valid and current Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle insurance coverage with $2 Million third party liability
- You have a clear Driver's Abstract
- An adequate level of home insurance is required.
- You are financially stable, over the age of 21 years of age, and legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to support the individuals on a full-time basis

**Specific Skills**:Some skills that may be required can include but are not limited to providing companionship; accompanying on community outings; assist in regular exercise eg. walking; medication prompting; assist or prompt Individual with personal hygiene and bathing. Assisting and or preparing meals according to the Canada Food Guide.

**Educational Requirements**:Minimum grade 12 Diploma; Standards First Aid Level C CPR/AED
