We are seeking an Engagement Officer to join our Transmission & Distribution Environment and Engagement. Under the general
direction of the Senior Environmental Specialist (T&D Environment and Engagement), you will conduct and coordinate public and
Indigenous engagement processes associated with transmission and distribution developments and operations, particularly working
on coordinating project monitor work; development of plain language documents related to projects, preparing and reviewing
environmental assessment reports, environmental protection plans, and process documents.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Prepare, review, and update public and Indigenous engagement and communication plans as well as draft plain language

communication materials and technical reports for regulators.
- Prepare portions of environmental assessment reports for submission to regulatory agencies, including drafting engagement

chapters and determining relevant mitigation measures to reduce impacts.
- Participate and facilitate public and Indigenous engagement activities.
- Develop materials to present project information to stakeholders, Indigenous communities, landowners, and the public.
- Provide advice and assist in activities related to engagement events, environmental assessments, and the regulatory
- approvals for various Transmission projects.- Conduct research related to best practices in engagement and environmental assessment to help build deeper, collaboration,
- consensus, and find new ways of working together with communities.- Participate in internal and external multi-discipline project teams.
- Writes reports, position papers, and correspondence at a high degree of accuracy for a variety of internal and external
- audiences.- Maintain engagement and communication information in digital databases.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four-year degree in Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Resource Management from a

recognized university with three years of environmental or engagement related experience.
OR
- A two-year diploma in Natural Resource Management from a recognized college or university with five years of environmental

or engagement related experience.
- Experience with implementing public and/or Indigenous engagement processes.
- Experience in authoring sections of major reports such impacts assessments, field work reports, or technical memos related
- to biophysical, socioeconomic, or engagement topics.- Knowledge of environmental regulatory processes, particularly those associated with the Manitoba Environment Act, and

other regulatory requirements for project development as they pertain to engagement.

**Salary Range**
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $38.22-$52.91 Hourly,
$73,2440.60-$101,388.04 Annually.
