**Job Summary**:
The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant will support various programs across Kinark Autism Services. These services may include our School Support Program, Group-Based Services and Foundational Family Services. The successful incumbent will be assigned to work primarily within York Region.

Kinark has introduced a benefit that gives employees in eligible roles the opportunity to work partially or fully remote if they choose to opt-in for this benefit. **This role (Autism Consultant) is assessed as a Roamer position requiring a few days in the office (3 days per week) unless business demands require.**

**The location for this position is: 34 Simcoe St #301, Barrie, ON L4N 6T4**

**This is a temporary position with a contract length of 1 year.**

**Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- Support the delivery of OAP Foundational Family and Core Clinical services;
- Consult in the development of effective evidence-based practices for children with ASD in a variety of environments;
- Identify gaps in services, quality assurance, client experience, marketing, and advertising;
- Assist in the development of report templates and writing reports;
- Provide expert Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) clinical and consultative support to school transition teams and families for children transitioning into school as part of the Connections for Students (CFS) initiative;
- Develop curriculum and deliver sessions for group-based services, as well as content for parent education sessions;
- Develop resource materials and provide training opportunities to parents and educators supporting children and youth with ASD;
- May train new facilitators and supervise group service delivery;
- Direct services will be required in some instances;
- Some evenings/weekends will be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a related field;**:

- Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is considered an asset;
- Minimum three years’ experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder;
- Experience with development and delivery of caregiver education and groups will be considered a strong asset;
- Experience in the delivery of consultation-based services;
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment;
- Excellent computer (MS Office) and presentation skills;
