**The Opportunity**
As the Citizen Experience Representative, you are a member of the City's corporate customer service and communications teams. With savvy communication and interpersonal skills, you will collaborate with all City departments to provide information for Grande Prairie residents and visitors on our area's services, programs, and events.
This position will challenge you to use customer service and problem-solving best practices to answer inquiries; to use strategy and creativity to deliver proactive messaging, both verbal and written; and to work with an exceptional and dynamic team of customer service superstars.
Every day is exciting and fast-paced at the hub of our City's information flow, and as a Citizen Contact Centre Representative, you are a front-line influencer capable of raising the bar in service standards.

**Responsibilities**
Never a dull moment, each day on this team is different
With the support of a close-knit and enthusiastic team, you will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the City's communications are timely, accurate, and engaging. For example, you will work closely with Transit, Engineering, Planning & Development, and Transportation departments to provide up-to-the-minute information to residents on bus routes, construction, and maintenance throughout the city. Within a dynamic, innovative department you will also be a change-maker by assisting with the development of improved processes to enhance the City's customer service standards.
As a Contact Centre Representative, you will have the capacity to make a tangible impact on the lives of the City of Grande Prairie residents.

**You Bring**
To be successful in this role, please bring:

- Two years of post-secondary education in Office Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, and/or Communications.
- Proven experience providing exceptional customer service
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Experience managing confidential information and exercising diplomacy
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain working relationships in a team environment
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Experience in researching and interpreting information from various sources
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to promptly respond to people and situations while under pressure
- Strong time management practices, organization skills, and keen attention to detail
- Tech savvy with knowledge of telephone equipment and relevant computer programs
- Proven proficiency and accuracy in cash handling and reconciliation necessary

**Hours**
Flexibility to work shifts between the hours of 7:00 am-6:00 pm is required in this role, 35 hrs. per week

**Salary/Wage**
Band C, $28.72 per hour
