**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the well-being of our patients while maintaining a clean and organized facility.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform laboratory tests while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor animal behavior and vital signs, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
- Provide compassionate care to animals including feeding, and exercising as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Educate pet owners on proper care techniques and follow-up procedures.

**Skills**
- Prior experience in a vet hospital environment is an asset
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices
- Must be positive and able to work with very well with a team
- Must be flexible and adaptable; able to switch tasks easily
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
