We are a fast growing business that caters to Seniors who are in transition. We assist in downsizing, moving, decluttering, and creating a new home-like environment for them in their new Residence. Our team is looking for professional movers, those who have experience with driving & loading trucks professionally is a bonus

Join us in helping seniors and their families at their homes, movers prepare items for transportation to another destination. On our team with other helpers, they will help prepare, load, and unload items, and should also be capable of driving the moving truck. Movers work a physically demanding job that requires heavy lifting, sometimes work on nights and weekends to meet customers’ requests.

**Mover Duties and Responsibilities**

**Pack and Prepare Items**

At the destination, movers help prepare and pack customers’ items to prevent damage during transit. Their tasks include disassembling furniture, wrapping items in bubble wrap or cellophane wrap, putting loose items in boxes and sealed bags, and using straps and moving blankets on larger items.

**Load and Unload Items**
You will use dollies and ramps to load customers’ items from their homes/buildings and onto the moving truck. You will be required to know how to properly load a truck. Training for this will be provided. You will arrange items on the truck in a manner to prevent objects from moving during transit causing damaged. At the destination, movers take the items off the truck, place them in the predetermined location and set the new suite up to be turn-key ready.

**Handle Customer Requests and Ability To Read the Environment**
You will have some interaction with the clients. Your Senior Move Coordinator will handle most client interactions, however, you will be expected to be courteous and answer any questions that are directed to you by the client. Everyone on our team is expected to be kind, respectful, and remain calm as these move situations are often difficult for the client and their family members.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Punctuality **- Our moves are scheduled on specific timelines. Our movers must arrive on or before the time provided to them by their manager.
- **Etiquette **- We expect a high level of professionalism while on and off the job site. We cater to a senior population who are often dealing with many emotions due to the nature of their move. We expect our team to be compassionate and calm when interacting with our clients.
- **Customer service** - you have a key role in customer service since you need to follow the customers’ requests, answer their questions, and sometimes defuse situations.
- **Teamwork** - You will need to interact with a driver and other movers to effectively complete each job assignment safely and efficiently. Everyone on our team is expected to pitch in and help one another, and always be respectful towards all other team members.
- **Organization skills** - You will use your organizational skills to pack items and arrange them in the moving truck.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

All employees must wear PPE provided by employer. All employees must be tested regularly and must be fully vaccinated.

**Experience**:

- driver: 1 year (preferred)
- Moving: 1 year (required)
