**Job Title**: Information Technology Technician

**Location**:Chilliwack, BC

**Key Result Areas**:

- Southern Irrigation’s IT systems are secure and functioning well so other employees using them can do their tasks effectively

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Setup and maintain a variety of hardware components on network systems, including PCs, PC peripheral devices, printers, telephones, conferencing, and networking equipment
- Perform installation, configuration, documentation, and distribution of equipment and software to users as required
- Maintain Southern’s network and security systems
- Provide quality training to users on software and equipment
- Take initiative in creating and maintaining an inventory of software and hardware
- Ensure team alignment and achieving deadlines when implementing or upgrading systems
- Gather and advise on information, watch for trends, bring new ideas and approaches and take part in brainstorming with team members on innovations
- Attend year-round training sessions and product knowledge seminars
- Set and complete annual team and individual goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff company wide, always providing the best in quality, service and value
- Administration of cloud software
- Travel to locations across Canada as needed to implement, upgrade and maintain IT systems, maximum 4 weeks/year

**Competencies**:

- Knowledge of office IT systems including networks, computer hardware, electronics and office equipment
- Proficiency in office software, specifically Microsoft Office 365 Software (Outlook, Teams, Business Central, PowerBI, Azure, SharePoint, etc.)
- Experience in developing and implementing IT for larger businesses is preferred
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute solutions, with ownership thinking
- Creative and innovative thinker and problem solver consistently focused on keeping staff productive and efficient
- Ability to set realistic goals and evaluate results
- Self-driven, results-oriented and decisive with a positive outlook and a clear focus on efficiency
- Work independently, setting and meeting goals
- Excellent time management skills and a team player
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of business

- Able to travel across Canada to visit all locations
