Job Overview:
We are seeking a student for the position of landscape gardener/naturalist to join our team for the summer. As a Naturalist, you will be responsible for providing educational and interpretive programs to visitors, conducting nature walks and hikes, and assisting with landscape maintenance including creating gardens, restoring natural habitat, weeding, grass cutting.

**Duties**:

- Assist with the maintenance of landscapes and gardens
- Operate power tools and hand tools for landscaping tasks
- Irrigate plants and ensure proper watering schedules
- Assist with educational programs and interpretive activities for visitors
- Lead nature walks, hikes, and other outdoor activities
- Provide information and answer questions about local flora, fauna, and natural resources

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of local flora, fauna, and natural resources
- Experience in landscape maintenance and gardening
- Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools
- Ability to provide engaging educational programs to diverse audiences
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information about the natural environment

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
