Kinsol Timber Systems is a leader in the design and construction of timber structures, specifically in the Mass Timber industry. We are seeking to grow our team by adding Apprentice Carpenters in support of the execution of our work, both here on the Island and elsewhere.

As an Apprentice Carpenter within Kinsol, we expect the applicant to perform rough and finish carpentry to the company’s standard of quality, under the direction of the Lead Carpenter, according to the plans and specifications. Bring discrepancies and special conditions to the attention of the Lead Carpenter. Maintain a safe and clean job site. Care for tools, equipment, and materials. Kinsol is a high-quality artisan-based construction company with an emphasis on safety and the well-being of our employees. We expect all of those employed at Kinsol to carry out their meticulous work with this in mind.

- Commercial experience a must.
- Must be okay with working from heights.
- AWP, Working from Heights, and Telehandler Operating training is an asset.
- Work commencing between July 7th to 18th.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Commercial construction: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
- Telehandler Operator Training Certificate (preferred)
- Aerial Work Platform Training Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-07-07
