Water Treatment Service Technician

**Boiler Treatment International**, was developed in Toronto, Canada, in 1997 as a complete service provider for
** water treatment chemicals for boilers, chillers, and equipment**. Boiler Treatment has since expanded to service and provide products within most of Canada and internationally. We maintain water treatment programs for Boilers, Cooling towers, Chillers, closed-loop and open-loop systems across Ontario. We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician role around the Barrie area to grow with us as we expand.
- We are currently looking for an energetic and eager individual that enjoys a dynamic environment, as this position would require
**frequent travel throughout Toronto (GTA) and Southern Ontario areas**. Travel costs will be provided. This would be a Monday to Friday schedule with an on-call during weekends or holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Service and maintain boilers and cooling towers with extensive testing using advanced equipment according to the client’s quality control standards and expectations.
- Maintain detailed records and documents of an organization’s equipment, including repair history
- Suggest new solutions that will improve the overall performance of an organization’s network or electrical structure
- Effectively communicate to clients and colleagues regarding equipment and repairs
- Pick up or deliver, handling chemicals and products, on-site testing or processing.
- Reporting with accuracy and detailed descriptions of any deficiencies
- Handle regular tasks within specific time frames
- Install equipment on-site
- Manage the routine maintenance of an organization’s equipment and infrastructure, and ensure they’re working properly
- Perform repairs on faulty equipment as soon as possible
- Coordinate with all other teams in the organization
- Commute safely from job to job by avoiding distractions, adhering to speed limits, and driving responsibly

**Main Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with a degree in chemical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary education with a degree in chemistry or an equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in a similar industrial of boilers/chillers service capacity is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
- Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
