Nature of the Work:

- The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing technical duties related to network, computer and peripherals, and providing technical support to users.**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the overall computer support of the Dawson community via the Help Desk and other methods.
- Create users and related configuration tasks in both Skytech Applications and Active Directory.
- Assist users on the use of Omnivox modules, including MIO, and troubleshoot problems.
- Assist users with Clara issues, especially during registration, and troubleshoot.
- Reset user passwords and diagnose login problems.
- Assist in the completion of lab configuration and installation of software.
- Diagnose computer hardware and software problems, employing various utilities, where applicable, place service calls where necessary.
- Participate in the Help Desk dispatching of calls and tickets as needed.
- Perform other duties as required by the Helpdesk Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:

- To have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
- Conditions:
- Proven knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems
- Proven knowledge of Macintosh OSX operating system including: preferences, user management, and system trouble shooting systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot printers in an AD environment
- Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required)
- Basic oral French communication skills (testing may be required)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
