The Supervisor supports and motivates the R&D team and fosters a culture of innovation within the team. He/she supports the R&D Manager in all activities related to product development. In this position, you will be responsible for a group of engineers, technicians and specialists supporting the development of new products for the ELIP Canada portfolio.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Provide technical support to requests from operations, engineering and other organizational functions.
- Create a roadmap with performance indicators for monitoring product development in line with the division's strategic plan.
- Plan all support requests and monitor the progress of new product development in preparation for launch.
- Maintain and improve product design control processes (Stage Gate) and promote adherence to them within the RD team.
- Support the updating of product codes and standards and participate in maintaining their certification.
- Collaborate with product specialists and engineers to solve design problems on existing products.
- Support the transfer of product technology between engineering, plants, purchasing, quality and other functional groups.

**Your background**:

- More than three years' experience in new product development, as a design engineer or project manager.
- Specialization in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering in the manufacturing sector.
- Ease of use of CAD and CAM design tools: CREO (an asset)
- Good market knowledge of installation products related to the construction industry: electrical contractors,
- Solution-oriented approach and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual: spoken and written English and French
- Member in good standing of the OIQ.
