**Nursing Home Administrator Job Description**

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Manage the overall operations of the home, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring they have the resources needed to provide excellent patient care.
- Supervise and support all departments (Dietary, Housekeeping, Recreation and Personal Care Aides) to ensure training is current, valid and ensures relevant continuing education occurs/
- Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and facility operations.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are in place for each resident.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and their families, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure effective phone etiquette when communicating with families, healthcare providers, and staff.

**Skills**
- Proficient in computerized systems for record keeping and data management.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Experience in data entry with a focus on maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service abilities to foster positive relationships with residents and families.
- Effective phone etiquette for professional communication.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written communications.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
