**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and benefits for a designated client group. This includes the administration of hourly and piece work payroll in accordance with various collective agreements, internal policy and procedure, state and provincial legislation.

**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:

- PCP designation from the NPI or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience with Payroll/HRIS systems, Benefits Administration, WCB and OHS reporting
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation in Canada and US
- Proven abilities to interpret, explain report on and provide advice on a variety of payroll labour related issues
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate, tactfully, efficiently and effectively with all levels of staff and external parties
- Ability to work independently as well as the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Prior experience in a unionized environment would be an asset
