Thunder Bay, Canada North-West Lines Full time

North-West Lines (NWL) is looking to fill a full time, year round position for a line painting / pavement marking crew leader. NWL is a dynamic and expanding company with opportunity for advancement and support for training and development.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

- drive and operate the highway line painting truck
- manage a pavement marking crew
- manage and complete all pavement markings in highway maintenance contract area
- monitor and inspect quality and accuracy of work
- complete all testing and reporting for daily operations
- drive flatbed truck with tag along forklift
- maintain, clean, and inspect equipment
- equipment repairs
- traffic control setup and take down
- material loading and unloading (lifting up to 50 lbs)

Job requirements:

- must be willing and able to work out of town for the duration of the summer (room and board provided by NWL).
- valid DZ licence
- previous pavement marking experience
- must be able to work as part of a team
- occasional night shift work will be required
- forklift experience
- knowledge of hydraulic equipment
- knowledge of traffic control and OTM Book 7
- supervisory experience

Hours of Work:

- 3 weeks on / 1 week off, or
- 11 days on / 3 days off
- 10 - 14 hour shifts

Compensation:

- $80,000 starting annual salary
- $5,000 singing bonus with 50% paid on first cheque and 50% paid at end of year
- Quality and performance bonuses paid at end of season
