Materials Handler

The **Material Handler** will join a team of dedicated individuals within our manufacturing operation. You will work closely with team members to ensure all warehouse/inventory activities are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. You are knowledgeable in Process Improvement and Inventory Control. Your work habits emphasize safety for yourself and your co-workers. You will also provide support to other roles within the warehouse as required. This position may also require overtime as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supply materials for production work orders at work centers by locating, pulling and verification of materials and supplies listed on production work orders.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers: tracks down lost or missing products.
- Complete inventory counts and organizes bin locations as assigned.
- Prepares finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-shift inspections.
- Keeps the warehouse and production work areas organized and tidy and implement general housekeeping practices to maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Assists the production teams in working the work orders as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma/GED required
- You will have excellent organization, scheduling and time management skills
- You excel with analyzing Information and dealing with complexity
- You are deadline-oriented and have strong attention to detail
- Experience in forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane operation (valid certification preferred but training can be provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk continuously and perform physical tasks
- Data entry skills, and basic computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Basic math, writing and oral communication abilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
