Construction Manager

The Store Construction Manager provides on-site construction supervision and construction schedule management expertise in a team environment. The Manager demonstrates reliability, leadership, self-motivation, professional communication skills, and goal oriented ambition. The Store Construction Manager ensures the efficient on-time and on-budget openings of new or renovated retail locations, striving for excellence and superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Executes and owns the store construction process for new retail stores from inception to punch sign off.
- Leads execution of assigned projects, including driving for results from all external vendors and cross functional partners.
- Proactively develops, manages, and monitors project budgets.
- Enforces established design standards and brand image.
- Reviews construction documents for accuracy, feasibility and compliance with brand standards.
- Prepares and manages construction schedules, change orders and other relevant project documentation.
- Prepares and manages schedules for vendors, and contractors.
- Monitors job site activity to ensure alignment with project schedule and quality of work.
- Ensures efficient coordination among contractors, vendors and other construction team members.
- Conducts pre-construction meetings with landlord and contractors.
- Reviews and approves vendor invoices.
**Education and/or Experience**
- Degree, study and/or experience in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Min of 5 yrs Retail Construction Project Management experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent Project Management and organizational skills
- Direct management of retail construction in strip center locations
- Previous experience as PM with major Retail brands
- Ability to work off hours or days when required by project needs
- Ability to work independently under mínimal supervision.
- Strong written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.
