As a Jungle Room server, you are responsible for positive guest interactions while taking orders and serving food, and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner. This position plays a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. Therefore, as a server, it is essential that you maintain an energetic, friendly, and welcoming attitude at all times. Servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests’ needs making them feel welcome and comfortable. Since guest satisfaction plays a key role in our restaurant, servers are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take initiative and action to correct any problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- High level of wine, liquor and cocktail knowledge is a must. As well, as extensive knowledge of the food menu.
- Prepare room for service by setting tables and ensuring service stations are fully stocked with essentials for a successful night.
- Greet each customer upon entrance and provide friendly, memorable interactions - if hostess is not present it is the servers responsibility to show the customers to their seat.
- Help customers select food and beverages through romancing and knowledge of the menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
- Communicate with other staff present to ensure everyone is on the same page and is understanding of 86 items, events, guests needs etc. to ensure a smooth service.
- Keeping up with service needs as well as cleanliness throughout the shift
- Create a rapport with guests to create a memorable atmosphere/experience, communicating with them to ensure satisfaction and resolve any problems that arise.
- Issue bills and accept payments in a timely manner
- Complete nightly and weekly checklist during or after each shift (servers must check out with a manger before signing out)
- Complete server cash out at the end of each shift.
